ChatterBug Halton
Chatterbug Speech and Language Therapy is a social enterprise founded in 2008.
We were commissioned by Halton Borough Local Authority and Clinical Commissioning Group to provide Speech and Language Therapy Services to Halton, Widnes and Runcorn areas for 6 years. We worked closely with all those involved with the child to ensure that Speech and Language therapy is embedded into their daily routine. This includes a focus on working with and supporting parents/carers and education settings.
Please note that as of the 26th October 2023, Chatterbug will no longer be accepting referrals in the Halton Area. All existing referrals have been transferred to the new provider and all further inquiries should be made with them.
At Chatterbug, we offer education-based services across the UK, and private sessions onsite at Chatterbug’s Clinic, Leeds: at child’s school or in-person at home (where possible) and Online – UK & international appointments.
Additionally, we provide a comprehensive range of on-demand SLCN (Speech, Language, and Communication Needs) training opportunities that you can explore here.
My son loves his telehealth session which started during lockdown and can’t wait to meet Amanda in person in September. The service is perfect for speech and language support, I’m kept up to date with what my son is trying to learn each session and how I can help continue this at home. In just a few short weeks I have noticed a difference in my son’s pronunciation of a sound he could never say before, he is clearly able to say words beginning with this sound and I am over the moon! Thank you so much for your help! We can’t wait to continue with you after the summer break!
Our daughter was seen for a telehealth session during covid as her initial MDT assessment. We both felt very happy with the report we received and felt that it reflected everything that had been covered in the session. We were pleasantly surprised by how detailed it was and how the therapist had been able to gather so much information just from a video session.
I just wanted to say thank you and just say how amazing Sophie Brooke has been throughout all her work and time with the ASC provision at Carr Manor. However, she has been incredible during this specific time. The telehealth sessions have been amazing and engagement from pupils has been really positive. The partnership she has with myself and the team is invaluable and what she has given to our offer has supported our successful first year.
