Course Overview

Train to deliver ICANs Early Talk Boost; an evidence-based, targeted intervention aimed at 3-4 year old children with language difficulties. This is an ICAN Accredited course delivered by one of our Speech and Language Therapists Evidence has shown that after the Early Talk Boost intervention, children make on average 6 months of progress.

Why you should…
An increasing number of children are starting school with communication skills significantly behind this immediately places them at a disadvantage. We know that without the right intervention and support this gap continues to widen. Evidence has shown that after the Early Talk Boost intervention, children make statistically significant progress in their early language helping them to catch up with their peers.

Who is this for?
Our training courses are perfect for education and childcare professionals, such as teachers, teaching assistants, and SENCO’s. The course is also suitable for speech and language therapists and student SLTs.

What you will learn

· The layout and structure of the sessions
· Using the tracker to identify, monitor, and track children’s progress

· How to identify children for the group and deliver the intervention
· Involving parents in the group and supporting them to aid in their child’s
· language development at home
No further training will be needed to run the group and you can deliver the intervention multiple times to new groups of children.
