How to Get Started with the Free Communication Check
Getting started is simple. Follow the three steps below to create your Bright Speech account, activate the free Communication Check and assign it to your child.
Step 1 : Register for Bright Speech
First, complete the registration by visiting the this page
Step 2: Activate the Free Communication Check
Once you are logged in to Bright Speech:
- open the Bright Speech Shop;
- find the Communication Check;
- add it to your account;
- complete the checkout process.
The Communication Check is currently free of charge, but you still need to complete the checkout process so it can be activated on your account.
Step 3: Add Your Child and Assign the Communication Check
Once the Communication Check has been activated, you need to add your child or learner to your Bright Speech account.
You can then assign the Communication Check to them.
If you are using Bright Speech for more than one learner, make sure you select the correct learner before assigning the check.
What happens next?
Once the Communication Check has been assigned, you can complete it through the Bright Speech app.
Your answers may help:
- identify areas of speech, language and communication that may benefit from further support;
- suggest helpful handouts;
- recommend the most appropriate Bright Speech screen where relevant; and
- indicate whether further screening or Speech and Language Therapy input may be appropriate.
The Communication Check is an initial guidance tool and is not a formal Speech and Language Therapy assessment or diagnosis.
